Better than the photo! Bought them, before remodeling a small kitchen with custom maple, modern cabinets. I wanted a bar/island, where people could sit, or I could be alone, drinking coffee and reading the paper. I had to cut down the legs on all four stools, because I decided on a counter height island (I know, I know, I could have returned them.
Besides being comfortable, sturdy and classicly modern, they encourage you to sit up straight and swivel. These stools are good for your back and your gut. Seriously.
My friends have had such fun and many laughs, sitting in my stools. I am proud of them. I felt they were a risk, but they are the best part of my new kitchen.

This are sleek and look great at our island. My friends have the bar height stools they purchased years ago and it appears they have changed the design with the legs and have omitted the rubber grip to rest one's feet on. The seat design is curved so you easily slide off of them!They need to change the seat so it does not slant as far downwards. Mine are counter height and friends are bar height and they do not have this issue.We are trying to adapt by sitting further back and keeping feet on the footrest and since we cannot return them we'll have to live with it. They are beautiful though!
