I use it to work at my standing-height desk when I want to sit. I have a bad back, so standing as much as possible is best for me, but I need to give my legs and feet a rest periodically.
I keep it at it's maximum height, and need to climb into it, but I try not to put too much weight on the footring, which is a little unstable for that much weight in one spot around its circumference. Once in the chair, it is very comfortable and is lighter weight than the previous chair I tried, making it roll on the flat unpadded carpeting easier than the heavier chair. This is important once you're sitting in it and can't use your feet on the floor to push the chair into place at the desk, and have to hold onto the top of the desk and pull yourself into place.
